Privacy

A site about public records has no business quietly collecting yours.

01

The short version

  • No accounts, no logins, no profiles.
  • No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no third-party trackers.
  • No cookies set by this site.
  • Nothing about you is sold, rented or shared for marketing — not now, not later.
02

What happens when you load a page

HostingServed by a hosting provider (Vercel). Like any web host, it keeps short-lived server logs — the request, your IP address, browser and time — for delivery and abuse prevention.
FontsTypefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page loads. This is the one third-party request the site makes.
CookiesNone set by this site.
AnalyticsNone. Nobody is counting you.

The font request is the only third party involved in serving a page, and it is listed here rather than buried. Self-hosting the fonts would remove it; that change is planned.

03

The mailing list

The signup forms on this site are not connected to anything yet — nothing is currently being collected or stored by them.

When the list goes live, it will hold the email address you give and nothing else. It will be used to send new guides, new county references and product updates. Every message will carry an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the address. It will not be sold, rented or passed to anyone for marketing.

04

Buying something

Checkout is not open yet. When it is, payment will be handled by a third-party payment processor, which collects what it needs to take a payment and deliver a file — typically your email address and payment details.

Card details never reach this site. What I will see is the order: what was bought, when, and the email address to deliver it to and to send corrections to.

05

Children

This site is meant for adults dealing with public bodies. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.

06

Asking what is held, or to be removed

Write to tricia@peoplesdata.shop or PO Box 132, Davis Station, SC 29041. If there is anything on file about you, you can ask what it is and ask for it to be deleted. Given how little is collected, the answer is usually short.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
